Description

The Sparks Racing Secondary Clutch Conversion is designed to convert the 2016- current Polaris RZR 1000 XP/ XP4 secondary clutch back to the 2014-2015 style. The 2016-current style secondary clutch is less-than-ideal with the introduction of the square puck sliders and the metal-on-metal (none rubber dampened) internal spider. The newer style clutch is more likely to have internal roller/ spider failures and erratic tuning characteristics. This secondary clutch conversion allows the use of the tried-and-true full roller/ rubber dampened style secondary which we have found to be much more durable and user-friendly. Many of the racers and recreational drivers Sparks Racing works with have previously made this conversion using OEM parts which required the transmission input shaft replacement. This clutch is a direct bolt on to the 2016- current transmission, so no modifications are required for the installation.

 

NOTE:

 

This secondary clutch is shipped empty, with no secondary spring or helix. At the very least, you will be required to purchase 2014-2015 style helix and secondary spring. If purchased in conjunction with a Sparks Racing Clutch Kit (you must order a clutch kit for a 2014-2015 model year), you will receive the correct style helix and secondary spring to complete the installation. Although not required, Sparks Racing STRONGLY recommends the installation of the Heavy Duty Secondary Clutch Dampener when installing this clutch.
